Our Un Rated 5 Gallon White Tight Head Steel Pail features a closed head and red phenolic lining. This 5 Gallon pail includes a plastic bung to prevent leaks and spills. Tight Head Pails designs allow for stacking for optimal storage and transportation. The built-in strong galvanized handle assures easy handling. 24-Gauge steel guarantees durability for the life of the steel pail.
The Triplex Technology® gives the top and bottom seams a stronger, safer triple-seam. This seam has 7 layers of steel versus 5 layers by adding 2 additional wraps of steel. With the use of a new computer-controlled feedback loop welder, the Triplex® weld seam is smoother for a superior exterior look and reduces sharp burrs of the interior lining.
The Red Phenolic Lining has a high degree of acid and solvent resistance and is not recommended for alkaline products. The red lining exhibits good adhesion and limited flexibility. Typical products which do not affect the lining are acid compounds, agricultural chemicals, insecticides, corrosive chemicals, solvents and solvent-containing materials, nitrocellulose lacquers and inks, food products, essential oils, and petroleum products.
Options are available for covering fitting such as extendable pour spouts, Anti Glug Rieke Flex Spouts, Tint, and Vent plugs, or plastic and metal screw caps. The low profile spout has the option to close for stacking. Find our Steel Fitting Guide here!
