Steel Pail Photographic Lithography Makes Premiere Concrete the “Bear” in the Market

Premiere Concrete Solutions had created stunning art for their new brand. Could it be reproduced on their steel pails?

Premiere Concrete Solutions was a relative newcomer to the coatings industry, steadily building a name for their coating products. Premiere’s brand developed, adopting the Bear to represent power and durability in protecting against whatever nature brings.

Their packaging, however, was not communicating the new found strength of their brand. Premiere used labels on steel pails. Their competitors printed directly onto their pails for a more professional appearance.

Premiere developed stunning new “bear art” to compete and promote their brand. Could the art even be printed directly on the pails? Would the intricate designs require continued printing on less professional looking labels? Pipeline was called in to advise.

Pipeline Packaging produced photo-quality lithography for each of Premiere Concrete Solutions’ product lines. In fact, each steel pail has won an NACD Award for excellence in decorating.

Solution

Pipeline invited steel lithography specialists to help consult on the decorating project. With our advice, Premiere made adjustments to the art that would allow it to be printed on the steel pails that Pipeline provided.

Results

Creating a memorable image in the buyers’ minds, the new pails are more visually competitive against other products. The packaging industry itself has also recognized Premiere and Pipeline’s efforts. All four new designs have been awarded NACD Decorating Awards – proof that the packaging on the outside can be as important as the product on the inside.
